On the basis of generalized Sturm theory developed in reference[1], Z.H.Wang[12] present a simple, but systematic approach to the delay-independent stability analysis of the linear dynamic systems involving two time delays. The approach enables us to complete the stability analysis in a simpler way than before, and gives the stability criterion characterized by a sufficient and necessary condition. In this letter, on the basis of the approach, we consider the delay-independent stability of an SIR epidemic model with two time delay. And we have the necessary and sufficient conditions of the di sease free equilibrium delay-independent.
