Persistent Metaobjects

摘要

Specification and representation of persistent metaobjects in a multiparadigm environment that supports both the object- oriented and the relational models are investigated. The advantages of the proposed approach to persistent metaobjects are based on the variable level of exposure of metaobjects to their users, encapsulation and persistence of actions, separation of specification and representation abstractions and abstract, procedural and functional types of attributes of such objects. Hierarchies of persistent objects and persistent metaobjects and their pragmatic relevance are discussed.
