With the progress of the interconnection of all things, the existing backbone network architecture faces enormous challenges. Most of the information in the power communication network is transmitted in the optical network. The failure of the fiber link in the network can cause huge economic losses. In order to improve the reliability of the network, it is necessary to study the fault diagnosis of the power-elastic optical network. Therefore, this paper establishes an elastic optical network fault model based on parameter estimation. In this model, the link load is considered comprehensively, and the link routing and spectrum allocation conditions are used for prediction and estimation. The link fault diagnosis is prioritized and analyzed. It shows that the proposed model not only improves the spectrum utilization effectively, but also achieves the balance between the bandwidth blocking rate and fault risk performance.
