摘要

The paramount goal of the work is the power quality improvement in the solar photovoltaic based single phase grid. The proposed topology incorporates a two power stage system where the boost converter is considered as the first stage for maximal extraction of solar energy through the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) .However, the voltage source converter (VSC) forms the second stage aiding harmonic attenuation, reactive power compensation and power factor correction. A generalized integrator (GI) based accurate magnitude integrator quadrature signal generator (AMI-QSG) is used for the control of the VSC for harmonic suppression and power quality enhancement of the proposed topology. The system performance validation is done under non ideal conditions to confirm the system efficiency in adverse conditions. The hardware implementation of the considered configuration conforms well to the required harmonic standard IEEE 519.
