摘要

Introduction Catalytic hydrogenation is a promising technique to remove nitrate in groundwater. Bimetallic supported catalysts are very effective in this process. Catalytic selectivity of these catalysts is highly concerned because intermediate product nitrite and by-product ammonia produced in the reaction are more hazardous. In this work, an amorphous silica-alumina was used to prepare Pd-Cu bimetallic catalysts. The catalysts were found more stable than alumina supported ones and showed much higher selectivities.
