The function of recreation is one of the most important of urban forest functions. Choosing the urban forests of Chengdu city as the research object, the paper deeply analyzes the present status of forest recreation and studies the strategies of developing Chengdu urban forest recreation according to its natural and geographical conditions and social and economic condi tions.
