The Contribution of NDT to Three Decades of the Severn Bridge

The Original Severn Crossing has served the road communications between South Wales and the South of England well or 30 years This service has not been possible without the development and application of a dedicated and sophisticated maintenance programme to which Non-destructive Testing has contributed. This paper describes the development of this aspect of maintaining the Crossing in a fit state for use.
