摘要

A previously developed model of attrition in fluidised bed jets is used to analyse the standard Forsythe and Hertwig (1949) single jet fluidised bed attrition test of Fluid Cracking Catalyst particles. The model is based on the single particle impact test and hydrodynamic modelling of the flowpatterns in the fluidised bed jet. Experimental results show that the attrition rate for fresh FCC particles is at least four times higher than that of used FCC particles.
