In Search of an Information Policy: to share or not to share

摘要

Information policies are formulated and practiced in order to make optimum utilization of information for the development of the society. Information policies in the advanced(industrialized) countries and the developing countries are briefly mentioned. Information-rich vs. information-poor problem will become more serious if the world community will follow present information policies and practices. In order to overcome this serious information gap the author suggests cooperation between the advanced countries and the developing countries on the enhancement of information flow, training of information professionals and policy implementation.
