摘要

The commercially available biogas technology has the disadvantages (1) of being sensitive to feeding,(2) having to adapt dilution rates to growth rates if the slowest growing microorganism and (3) of hindering optimalactivity of the microorganisms and (4) of back mixing of CO_2 and methane in a common gas space. It will be shownas first experimental results, that when adapting the fermenter technology to the complex process flux, which is donein the multifunctional anaerobic baffled reactor (MABR) all the disadvantages can be overcome. This offers thechance to use this technology very efficiently in small scale applications in the very near future and it offer furtheropportunities of this very unique biotechnology to be an innovative alternative to recent biorefnieries.
