Research and Application of Ecological Slope Protection Technique based on the Philosophy of Green Environment

Based on the environmental and ecological protection idea, a new bioengineering ecological slope protection technology-geo-grid flexible retaining wall was put forward. In this paper, combining with the engineering practices in highway slope of Ji-Lai Expressway, the design methods and construction requirement of geo-grid flexible retaining wall were given and the effect of its application was studied. By considering the geo-grid, fix anchor and filling soil as an integral structure, the formula for slip force and total anti-slide forces of geo-grid on protection slope is derived, and an analysis method of safety factor of geo-grid protection system is given. It can be concluded that the new type of flexible retaining wall has satisfied the requirement of stability and ecological environment of highways. This new flexible ecological retaining wall will have wide application in highway slope engineering.
