Systems and Objects

摘要

This paper discusses basic system concepts including structure, content,rnsemantics, scale and context. These basic concepts are reviewed and discussed in the light of tworndifferent human activity modes: system discovery mode and system design mode. A systemrnmeta-model is outlined and discussed in terms of system behavior and context. A genericrnsystems engineering model and process is reviewed and used as a basis to construct a systemrnobject model that facilitates the representation, description and detailed communication ofrnsystem relationships and characteristics. The model is presented at the conclusion of this paper.
