Systems Engineering Education Development(SEED) Case Study

The Systems Engineering Education Development (SEED) Program was initiatedrnto help the Goddard Space Flight Center resolve a Systems Engineering skill shortage. Thernchronology of events and the experiences of the pilot program are outlined to describe therndevelopment of the present program. The program goals are included in order to give a focus onrnwhat the developers saw as the program drivers. Lessons learned from a pilot program werernincorporated into the present program. The sponsors of the program are constantly learning fromrnpast efforts and looking for continuous improvement. We list several future ideas forrnimprovement and change.
