This paper presents a product modeling systemrnthat supports the systems engineering processrnincluding qualitative and quantitative requirementsrntraceability, and demonstrates its application in arncase study of a passenger car cockpit. The systemrnfeatures a user interface that enables rapid tradernstudies. The paper further discusses how to introducernsimulation models in the product developmentrnprocess and what kind of simulation models can bernused during different development stages.
