Systems Engineering Approach for Modeling An Organizational Structure

An organization is just another type of system. Why notrnuse systems engineering techniques for modeling andrndevelopment of the organizational structure. Withinrnevery organization there are required tasks/functionsrnthat interact with each other. Therefore, one may usernsystem engineering techniques to define what thernorganization is required to do and then develop anrnorganizational structure using some basic designrnprincipals, e.g., integration analysis technique tornminimize coupling and maximize cohesion betweenrnvarious organizational tasks and functions. In thisrnpaper, we illustrate how systems engineering designrnprinciples can be used for modeling and analysis of anrnorganization structure.
