Architecting An Engineering Documentation System

This paper examines the architecture,rndevelopment & implementation of a documentrninformation management system developed for arnsystems engineering core group. The intent of thernpaper is to provide an overview of the approachrnemployed as well as provide insight into thernrequirements, drivers and the solution. This review alsornillustrates how the development team made use ofrnsystems engineering methods, processes, practices andrnheuristics. The Engineering Documentation Systemrn(EDS) is currently in use by the Systems Engineeringrndepartment of the Military Aircraft and Missilesrndivision of the Boeing Company.
