ANALYSIS OF ENERGY OPTIONS IMPACT ON REGIONAL SECURITY: THE CASE OF EASTERN EUROPE

摘要

This paper examines energy security in three East European countries - Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine. It is based on the report of the Environment and Security Initiative and incorporates analysis of recent energy security events in the region. The paper highlights the importance of recognizing the region's geopolitical positioning between the European Union and the Russian Federation, improving energy security without jeopardizing the environment, addressing long-standing frozen conflicts, and strengthening cooperation.
