The outlook for development of international LNG trade is promising due to the increasing demand for natural gas. Nevertheless, this growth in demand is having to contend with increasing economic problems. The cost of LNG projects is constantly on the rise since gas reserves tend to be located more an more in zones that are difficult or far from consumer areas. Furthermore, the recent evolution or crude oil prices has jeopardized the profitability of liquefaction projects.
