The main engine steering and control simulation system is presented, in which a real control system is linked with a numerical model of the main engine. The experience gained from performed tests has shown that the proposed solution makes it possible to conduct, in conditions close to reality, a wide range of research tasks, such as creating data base for decision support systems, diagnoses, and service. A novel approach, not applied in hitherto existing solutions of the simulation systems, is the use of real monitoring and control systems.
