THE INFLUENCE OF SELECTED PARAMETERS OF IDD ON VIBRATIONS OF CONTACT IN AC HYBRID BREAKER

An increase of power in power-supply systems, including ships' systems, requires a constant search for new solutions of d.c. and a.c. switches. The authors have been engaged for many years in modeling a ultra rapid hybrid circuit breaker, one of the most important elements of which is an electrodynamic drive. The operation and switching off possibilities of this switch depend on the parameters of this drive. In this paper the authors will present the examination results, mainly of the drive, which account for the difficulties in this stage of modeling contact resistance of the switch.
