In order to evaluate the hazard caused by projectile fragments in the course of disposing HEAT projectile. The finite model of HEAT projectile fragments penetrating steel targets is set up. According to the mass and velocity of a certain type HEAT projectile, the course of fragments penetrating different thickness targets in different distance is calculated by numerical simulation method. At the same time, the experiments of this type HEAT projectile fragments penetrating steel targets are done..Finally, the results of calculation and experiment are compared, the finite model is reliable the discrepancy causation is analyzed.
