摘要

One of the important applications in the field of GIS technique is to acquire, handle and visualize informal resources and environment in mines. The geometric and topological relationship of objects in mines are usually characterized by having a three-dimensional (3D) space. It is well known that the key issues within 3D-GIS involve 3D data models, 3D data structures, 3D visualization, geographical spatial cognition, spatial modeling and fuzzy uncertainty representation etc. At present the hybrid data model or integrated data model in commercial GIS software would be commonly adoped, although object-oriented programming may be a better GIS software engineering technique for handling spatial data. 3D GIS data structures (tools) make 3D GIS data model be realized.
