Information sharing under a distributed environment in a water distribution management system

摘要

This paper presents an informton sharing method for a potable water distribution management system.To manage a water distribution system efficiently,staff members at the control room and the waterworks site have to share infformation and cooperate with each other.To share information,we use general-purpose communication tools such as public telephone lines and de facto standard instruments.We have develoed two new prototype systems.One uses voice synthesis and automatic phone call up technologies,and the other enables data base access from a remote site with mobile phones and portable terminals.Infrastructure for informaiton sharing in a water distribution managemdent is discussed based pn these prototypes.
