Bubble columns are used for numerous gas-liquid reactions.The performance of the bubble column is strongly dependent on the distribution of the gas phase inside the liquid.Up to date mainly the average void fraction of a cross section or the whole bubble column has been measured.The published measurements of the local void fractin lack from the spatical or temerpature resolutoion fo the measurement device.
