View adaptation in data warehousing systems

摘要

An iportant aspect of a data warehouse system should be its ability bo evolve according the user an organization needs.The reason being that the schema of a data warehouse cna evolve for integrating new reuriements resulting form anlysis or data mining processing,schema changes on informatin souces etc.More proecisely,schema chagnes aristing on information sources should be propagated to the related views in order to maintain consistency between the sources and the derived views.In this paper,e present a view model extending the relational alows to suppot view schema changes enforcing consistency and without causing disruptions or modificatios to existing views and application programs.
