Abstract: An application of Fourier transform lenses to surface topography detection is investigated. The field is illuminated in parallel using an array of three different wavelength laser diodes, and relative phase alteration is read out between cross-correlated electronic pixels. Diffraction theory of image formation is used to interpret the modulation in contrast. Speckle sensitivity to wavelength provides the basic technique for noise filtering.!9
