Real-time unconstrained cooperative editing systems are synchronous CSCW or groupware systems that allow multiple users to edit the same document at the same time from multiple sites. A specific type of cooperative editing systems is the object-based graphics editing systems. We will examine how object replication and operational transformation techniques are used to maintain intention preservation in such systems. Based on object replication, we will present the application dependent transformation functions and a modified generic operation transformation control algorithm for cooperative graphics editing systems.
