Non-linar equations in th theory of fluids; a model for molecular fluids

Non-linear equations enter the molecular theory of fluids in several ways, In this review one particular approach to the theory is discussed. that using a density functional for the determination of the molecules are restricted. Non-linear equations arise in the determination of the direct correlation function of the fluid and in the determination of density profiles of the inhomogeneous fluid. Details of the theory and of related computer simulations are presented and some results discussed.
