Man in modern industrial countries spends 90percent of his lifetime in enclosed indoor areas, places where thousands of different chemicals may be bio-available via several pathways. Whereas only few pollutants get inside throug open windows, most evaporate or penetrate from painting-, acleaning- Or preservation-means which are used to treat furnishings, textiles or part of buildings. Also wood preservation products like pentachlorophenol (PCP) are still being used or at least present since the middle of the 1930's. They contribute to a health relevant pollution (1).
