SCAPS Characterization of VOC Contaminated Sites

The Tri-Service Site Characterization and Analysis Penetrometer System, or SCAPS, was developed to address many of the current problems in site characterization. SCAPS combines traditional cone pentrometer technology with contaminant sensors and samplers to quicly and inexpensively provide a profile of contaminants and geophysical properties at hazardous waste sites.
