Rescheduling of production schedules of precast elements is often necessaryrndue to various causes arising from both on-site and factory conditions. Ideally,rnrescheduling should take into account resource and schedule constraints both in thernfactory and on-site. The priorities and objectives of factory and site managers arernlikely to differ and may well conflict with one another. This paper develops arnmultiobjective optimization problem associated with the rescheduling of precastrnproduction and demonstrates the use of a genetic algorithm-based procedure to searchrnfor solutions. Results obtained from an example considering two objectives indicaternthat the proposed production rescheduling procedure can identify a Pareto-optimalrnfront of good quality solutions which can be used to facilitate the decision makingrnprocess.
