Study on Informatization for Urban Infrastructure ManagementBased on Web GIS and DSS

Informatization has been becoming an effective and efficient measure forrnurban infrastructure management to heighten its effect. This paper defines urbanrninfrastructure management and describes the framework of its informatization in thernviewpoint of life cycle. On the basis of above definition and description, this paperrnpresents the model of the informatization for urban infrastructure planning,rnconstruction, and management based on Web GIS and DSS, which involves therninformatization for the infrastructure management of energy sources system, waterrnresources system, communications system, posts and telecommunications system,rnenvironment system, and disaster-preventing system. Then the functions of the modelrnare analyzed. Finally, as an example, informatization for the management of urbanrnwastewater treatment infrastructure is analyzed to discuss the functions of abovernmodel. The applications of the model would heighten the management level of urbanrninfrastructure, which would reduce the cost of urban infrastructure construction andrnmaintenance, as well as improve its service level.
