摘要

Anew stacked dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) design with CPW feeding is presented for wideband wireless local area network (WLAN) applications. In this proposed antenna, Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) inductive slot feeding is used. In this configuration, the CPW inductive slot acts as an effective radiator and the feeding structure of the DR. The result shows that the proposed antenna achieves an impedance bandwidth above 20% from 4.96GHz to 6.07GHz covering complete WLAN bands and especially getting wideband with dual resonating frequencies at popular WLAN (at 5.20GHz and 5.84GHz) bands. Parametric studies of the antenna are carried out by varying the length of the horizontal slot and inner radius of the upper cylindrical dielectric resonator and simulated results for WLAN application are presented here.
