A GUI WIZARD FOR DEVELOPING COMMAND CONTROL APPLICATIONS IN CAVE

Command and control systems have gained anrnincreasingly vital role when it comes to displayingrninformation about operational situations. In suchrnsituations, pictures have traditionally been presented onrn2D media, rather than 3D displays. CAVEMANDER is arnsoftware platform that we created to improve thernvisualization and immersion of presenting command andrncontrol situations inside the CAVE. This paper describesrna proposed GUI wizard used to develop command andrncontrol applications in CAVE based on the softwarernarchitecture of CAVEMANDER. The wizard supportsrndesigning and creating command and control simulationrnscenes and scenarios. Details of the wizard’s interface andrnfunctionality as well as a case study of a simulationrnscenario are provided in the paper.
