A drainage experiment with a tank model was conducted in laboratory to examine water flow to a subsurface drain and to acquire experimental data about the water flow characteristics of layered soils to serve as a base for numerical analyses. In order to reduce analysis time and improve data consistency, an automatic tool (National Instruments LabVIEW software) to acquisition data and their analyses have been developed.
