An analog record, playback and processing system on a chip formobile communications devices

A system on chip for conditioning of voiceband analog audionsignals and nonvolatile storage for use in mobile communication devicesnis presented. The system allows for direct interface to acousticntransducer elements and provides signal conditioning to gain adjust,nmultiplex, filter and mix two independent signals. The system can recordnthese processed signals as analog samples in a nonvolatile flash EEPROMnarray for later retrieval. Together with the integrated signal path thensystem can store up to 8 minutes of audio signals. Control of the systemnis achieved via a serial interface, which is used to configure andncontrol the device. All necessary components of the system are providednon chip including analog processing elements, nonvolatile storage andnhigh voltage and reference generation
