The fluidization behavior of various nanoparticle binary mixtures was investigated in a fluidized bed with inner diameter 56 mm under different sound pressure levels and sound frequencies. It has been found that the particle mixtures can be fluidized smoothly with sound assistance at low sound frequency owing to the sound energy disrupting large size of agglomerates. For each of particle mixtures investigated, the minimum fluidization velocity is decreased with increasing sound frequency, and then increased with sound frequency at the same sound pressure level. Whereas, at a given sound frequency, the increased sound pressure level reduces substantially the minimum fluidization velocity and agglomerate size of nanoparticle mixtures. Collapsing experiments illustrate that OSM SiO_2 nanoparticle mixture has a long collapsing time in comparison with NSM OSM SiO_2 nanoparticle mixture.
