Many of educational materials used in the 3-dimensional computer graphics(3DCG) education are designed to explain three-dimensional graphics using description and two-dimensional projected figures. With two-dimensional projected figures however, it is not possible to move eye view with interactive manner as necessary. It is considered that 3DCG animation is best suited as the materials used in 3DCG education. With 3DCG animation, users can then obtain information. However, intuitive information obtained visually are different depending on individuals and this may cause a misunderstanding. In order to use 3DCG animation as useful educational contents, certain information should be simplified for the sake of reduction of recognition burden by the user. Information thus reduced should be supplemented by other transmission means. In this study, the authors proposed character information to be used as the alternative information transmission means. Then educational contents are constructed to be used in 3DCG education. These educational contents are realized by real-time 3D programming using OpenGL. The story can be stopped temporarily on any screen by user manipulation while viewing the animation. Following this, 3DCG technology used is commentated by the character information. This allows the user to learn 3DCG through correspondence of character information to actual OpenGL technology.
