La2O3/ZnO/TiO2 coupled photocatalysts were prepared by sol-gel-in-situ-formed method. Being a model reaction, the photocatalytic degradation of reactive brilliant red K-2BP in La2O3/ZnO/TiO2 nanopowder suspension irradiated by UV-lamp was investigated. As results, the addition of La2O3 and ZnO toTiO2 enhanced its photocatalytic activity further, and the optimum concentration of ZnO and La2O3 was 20%、0.50%, respectively. The best degradation efficiency of reactive brilliant red K-2BP by coupled photocatalysts were acquired under follow experimental conditions: calcination at 500℃ for 2h, Amount of coupled photocatalysts 4.00g·L-1, air flow rate 800mL·min-1 and initial pH3.12. The photocatalytic degradation of reactive brilliant red K-2BP by La2O3/ZnO/TiO2 was experimentally demonstrated to follow the Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetic model, and the reaction rate constant [11.5mg·(L·min)-1] and the adsorption constant(2.88×10-2L·mg-1) were determined.
