DR. LEONARD H. BIEMAN is an Associate Physicist in the Project Engineering Group of Energy Development Associates (A Gulf+Western Company) where large scale batteries are being developed for utility load-leveling and electric vehicle applications. His duties include modeling of battery process establishing experimentation to obtain information about these processes and designing of new battery systems. He was previously a Research Associate in the Electrical Engineering Division of Brown University where he studied the electrical and magnetic properties of metallic glasses. In 1976 he earned his Ph.D. in physics from Wayne State University studying the magnetic behavior of insulating glasses.;
