摘要

To accurately predict the breakdown voltage in air at atmospheric pressure, this paper proposes a fully coupled finite element analysis combining the hydrodynamic diffusion-drift with the Poisson's equations. The numerical approach has been successfully applied to evaluating the breakdown voltage in a parallel-plane electrode and then the effects of photoemission and background ionization on the breakdown voltage are thoroughly investigated. The method is verified by comparison of the experimental results.
