摘要

A new method is being developed for measuring the remaining capacity in a battery or the extent of reaction for types of certain solid-state reactions. A sensor using a low amplitude ac signal to generate a magnetic field is used to non-intrusively detect physical property changes within a battery that can be related to the battery's state-of-charge. Preliminary measurements performed on a small valve-regulated lead-acid battery are reported.
