摘要

Stability of wave dissipating blocks as armor units on low crested breakwaters is investigated. Applicability of equations for estimating stable mass of armor units proposed in the previous studies is also investigated. Stability of the wave dissipating block on the structure where the crest is just on the still water level is lower and stabilities of the wave dissipating blocks on the submerged type structure and the surface piercing type structure are higher. There is a significant difference between the characteristics of variation in the stability of wave dissipating blocks estimated by existing design formulae.
