Most research materials (data), which areused for the study of digital mapping and digitalelevation model (DEM) in the field of Remote Sensingand Aerial Photogrammetry are aerial photographs andsatellite images. Additionally, they are also used forNational land mapping, National land management,environment management, military purposes, resourceexploration and Earth surface analysis etc. Althoughaerial photographs have high resolution, the data, whichthey contain, are not used for environment explorationthat requires continuous observation because ofproblems caused by its coastline, as well as single -spectral and long-term periodic image. In addition tothis, they are difficult to interpret precisely becauseSatellite Images are influenced by atmosphericphenomena at the time of photographing, and have byfar much lower resolution than existing aerialphotographs, while they have a great practical usabilitybecause they are mulitispectral images. The PKNU 2 isan aerial photographing system that is made tocompensate with the weak points of existing aerialphotograph and satellite images. It is able to takepictures of very high resolution using a color digitalcamera with 6 million pixels and a color infraredcamera, and can take perpendicular photographsbecause PKNU 2 system has equipment that makes thecameras stay level. Moreover, it is very cheap to takepictures by using super light aircraft as a platform. Ithas much higher resolution than exiting aerialphotographs and satellite images because it flies at alow altitude about 800m. The PKNU 2 can obtainmultispectral images of visible to near infrared band sothat it is good to manage environment and to make aclassified diagram of vegetation.
