摘要

The main conclusions from this study are as follows:1) Upgraded weather data files for dry bulb temperature,relative humidity, absolute humidity, solar radiation for twolocations Hanoi and HCMC in Vietnam.2) Proposed the architectural strategies for energy efficiency inVietnamese residential buildings. The main classifications ofarchitectural strategies are: minimizing solar gain; promotingnatural ventilation and dehumidification.3) Evaluated the effectiveness of monthly energy consumptionof the passive architectural strategies (insulation, doublewalls, shading devices, high performance windows, and thecombining strategies). Simulated results showed that themost effective energy efficiency strategies in Vietnameseclimate are double walls and high performance windows.
