DYNAMIC ARC WEIGHT IN PETRI NETS

Though Petri net is a powerful tool for modeling andrnsimulation of discrete event systems (DES), its static Petrirnnet graph property is a deficiency when modeling certainrntypes of DES, e.g. economic systems. This paperrndescribes a novel approach to giving semi-dynamicrnproperty to the static Petri net graph. Firstly, the results ofrna literature study are presented on various ways of addingrndynamic property to static Petri net graph. Secondly, arnnew approach is presented for adding dynamic changesrnthrough implementation in transition definition files; arnsimulator called GPenSIM is used to show the approach.rnAn application example on Salmon fish feeding is alsorngiven to show how the approach can be used in practice.
