摘要

In order to enhance the collection efficiencies for particles of size less than 5μm, electrical effect can be introduced to improve the performances of cyclones. In the present paper, electrostatic field and electric potential distribution are derived for three distinct cases of discharge electrode in the so called "outer-vortex type" electrocyclone, and when corona-starting voltage is reached, a general current-voltage relation is obtained by employing perturbation method. The comparison between theory and the experimental data shows the formula is valid for low corona current density.
