Abstract: In this paper, we present a mixed, monitor/database-centered approach in order to assist and guide both experienced and novice final users. To achieve this objective DeBuMAII is able to acquire and use the knowledge of the different interlocutors: algorithm specialist, library manager, and application builder. During the design process, DeBuMAII, with the help of knowledge previously acquired, proposes the tasks and/or the data to the final user so he may go ahead with the problem resolution.!34
