African american newspapers and periodicals: sources for the study of fashion, 1890-1910

摘要

The major goal of this descritpive study was to exasmine the types of fashion information disseminated in selected African American newspapers and magnzines published between 1890-1910. the newspapers examiend included The African American Baltimore, The Atlanta Independent, and The Savannah Tribune. The mangazines examined included The Colored American Magazine and The Voice of the Negro. Generally speaking, these African American publications spanned 1890 to 1910.
