摘要

In this work computational fluid dynamics of the flow behavior in a cold flow of fluidized bed isstudied. An improved finite volume based finite element method has been introduced to solve thetwo-phse gadsolid flow hydrodynamic equations. This method uses a collocated grid, where allvariables are located at the nodal points. The fluid dynamic model for gas/solid two-phase flow isbased on the two-fluid model where both phases are continues and fully interpenetrating. For the gasand solid phases the Navier-Stokes equation based on the concept of local average is obtained.Results are verified against experimental data reported in the literature.
